@lj_writes oh gawd washing the sheets for a month... when I thought I was done with washing nappies. Well, all the best with what's next! We'll probably manage to be nostalgic of all the hardship when it's gone, somehow, right? Maybe it's all worth the prince ;)
@lj_writes lol that’s hilarious and I can totally relate. This stuff is definitely international-newsworthy. Toilet transition is such a saga here. When you say cotton, you mean those thick knickers that will catch a small accident but not much more? Or plain undies? Our toddler still wears nappies in bed but sometimes manages to hold until morning.
Speaking as someone working in healthcare, married to someone working in grocery
We don't want you to congratulate us or call us heroes
We want you to punish the government that allowed all this to happen
They put you, your friends, and your family at risk
We were gonna have to work, pandemic or not. Our politicians have a job to do, I understand it's easy to forget that because they never do it, but please
Hold them accountable. I don't want a pat on the back.
I know times are tough for everyone right now, but I figured I'd share my family's GoFundMe campaign here anyway. my sister died unexpectedly on Saturday, leaving my wonderful 11 year old niece Piper without any parents. we are setting up a trust fund to help with whatever she may need now and into the future. I'm the closest person she has to a parent and I will be adopting her.
Just watched “The Farewell” (2019), directed by Lulu Wang, I really recommend it. Beautiful colours, great acting, excellent music, really interesting cultural learnings.
@jine great, thanks! Yeah, I’ve used it for years but asking myself this for the first time. It’s also great as an instrument for loops, you’re right! Just amazed at the quality of the software, and how active the development is. It’s the most active project I follow on GitHub. 💚👌🏽
@charlag their music is really good! I recommend. I was referring to what the main guy says in this video: https://youtu.be/cCbtp5kLx30 Seems he does most of it and then performs as a band live.
😍 This is awesome! Also I think they are one of the only ones that will be able to pull off true e2ee. Because most others intercept audio / video and process on it. Where as jitsi operates as an SFU and selectively forwards streams based on the network conditions of individual clients.
If they needed to actually process the audio / video this would require the bridge to be trusted to decrypt the payloads. Super cool!
