BTW: Internet archive has apologized for archiving a fediverse community, and kicked the person who did it off the team for speaking as if they had the views of the whole team. They have confirmed they will not archive things against people's wills

@gemlog This will be delayed as I don't have the right software on this PC, and the dept website with the download links is down.

@niconiconi Oh boy. I've liked them when I use them, but I never feel I have the accuracy of a mouse. On the other hand, I've only used centre-ball models, not thumb models as I bought them to deal with thumb pain.

I wonder if you could rig up a foot pedle to a switch and use that to do the clicking?

(yes, cis and trans means things in chemistry. Cis means 'on the same side' and trans means 'on opposite sides'.

Fac means the three vertexes around a face 'around a face" and mer means the three vertexes along a meridian.

Dammit, I have no idea how to describe a dodeahedral structure. Is there a standard terminology for this like cis and trans or fac and mer but for higher coordination numbers? #RealTImeChem #chemTwitter #geometry

@eris That reminds me of my dog with his crate.

We got him a nice large crate as a puppy and he loved it. Slept in it every night, etc.

Then we discovered it was 2" too large to fly with, so we bought him one that was that much smaller. So, given he was a really small dog, still very generous for him.

He went into it, spent half an hour scratching at it, trying to enlarge his cave, and then walked out, and lay down behind the couch with a disgruntled huff and moved to sleeping on my parents bed.

That weird realisation that last.fm is my oldest active account to date.
2005-2006 - poor scrobbling data 2009 -music rich year when I was discovering a ton of EDM, 2010-2012? Busy uni years, not as much time spent scrobbling.
2013 got a ton of scrobbling as I started working in games and needing distraction, but that was just before I started cramming youtube and podcasts to get me through the day.
2018 - Music pretty much got replaced by podcasts for work :/

@Jo I've only got experience using it and hex hat on Windows. my impression of KV IRC is that everything just looks nicer in it and it seems to crash and experience weird errors last than Hexchat. however I found setting channels to auto open was a huge pain as you had to go and set them in a settings menu every time
