To honor the those involved in the #Humboldt tragedy, our child's daycare is asking for the kids to wear green or hockey jerseys on Thursday.

Astutely recognizing where we stand in our journey of acculturation, the teacher then said, "You don't have a hockey jersey for your two-year-old, do you?"

@ink_slinger @allan @mpjgregoire I have mixed feelings about this argument - if the volumes aren't sufficient to impact prices, are the economic benefits enough to outweigh the downsides?

And, on prices - the cost of extracting oil from the tar sands will likely always be higher than other sources. So wouldn't OPEC's strategy always be to keep prices just low enough to make Alberta extraction unprofitable?
