Andrey Markovasciidoc is by concept very similar to Markdown and to Org Mode. Markdown is mostly just for the HTML, while Asciidoc and Org Mode and others like Restructured Text can be used for different types of documents. I am using Org Mode http://orgmode.org/ And I assign tasks to my clients by using Org Mode: I send them assignments in PDF files or text, and they send it back. I can track who did what. They don't even know how I am getting such nice and beautiful documents. Emacs with LaTeX is a much more than LibreOffice for example, it gives me more back in terms of productivity results.
@lnxw37a1 Oh, sorry. That was not my intention. There were some people thinking that their posts could be shielded from being collected by search engines, so I was trying to express the fact that nearly everything posted is expressly public, and especially anything that federates to other instances.
@clacke - It'll never work. What's the business model? - Why isn't it written in Haskell/Node/Clojure/Scala? - SemWeb urgh - W3C is an obsolete organisation. - Facebook and Twitter will never switch to this, it's dead in the water. - It's not P2P. - It's not P2P. - It's not P2P. - It's not E2E. - It's not green. - The font is stupid. - NIH - Stallman eats feet. - Blockchain - Steem - So, nobody has figured out a business model still? - Doug Engelbart did this in the 70s. The pillars are big enough that you could do it just using the existing avatar images. But of course!
