It would be nice if we as humans could just talk our differences out, but unfortunately that is not the case.

@ArtistMarciaX In those communities, the outward showing of civility is more important actually being civil. So when one pieces that very thin veil, all that anger and barbarism comes out.
And the thing is with the dogma of white identified cultures, it is very easy to recognize who is a bigot and who isn't. They share a very common way of viewing the world.
But we aren't supposed to notice it. We are supposed to be like them and ignore their desire for violence framed with niceties.

You know, it's ok not have an opinion about certain topics. I know we're all intelligent, thoughtful people that like to wrestle with ideas and concepts, but you don't have to do that with everything that you see.
It's ok to just let it go and not expend so much brain power on every topic one sees. You'll have plenty of other opportunities to put your big beautiful noodle to work.

We all have habits and behaviors based on our experiences that aren't necessarily beneficial to our community and more importantly ourselves. We're human. It happens.
The challenge is to not to allow these habits and behaviors to define what we are. We all make mistakes, but we can learn from them and grow.

Moving my mail over to Proton has turned out to be great decision as it frees up a big part of my time so I don't have to administrate email anymore.
Configuration was pretty easy and for the plan I have, I get access to their VPN services as well.
It's only been a week or two, but I would definitely recommend Proton Mail if you're looking for a quality encrypted email service.

There have been a couple of intense moments here and there, but rebuilding my server actually hasn't been that bad.
Nginx was a breeze to set up, Postgres installed without a hitch, and I don't even think about setting up Node. It's a reflex at this point.
The toughest part was diagnosing why my local sites behaved differently in the new environment, but that's was solved by some good old fashioned trouble shooting.
All in all, it's going pretty smoothly.

Got two client sites up and re-installed Gitea using Postgres this time around.
Whew, I think that's some good work for the day. I'll start working on personal stuff tomorrow.

@minego Fight is a good way to put it. It's not terrible, but it definitely takes more time than Nginx.
It's just refreshing to set up up according to the docs and it actually works when it's booted up.

@gekitsu LOL, don't do that. I just have a lot of experience using other tools to get projects done, so moving over to postgres and ngnix is just so much easier than what I'm used to.
It still takes some effort, but not as much as I thought. It's a very refreshing change...

That's just not true. It takes awhile to apply that simple truth, but it's a really big shift when you do.
