@catoutofbed @LogicalDash @cwebber I really do understand where you're coming from and I get it, but we had extensive discussions on this back in 2017, and the vast majority of users were of the opinion that the main functionality of blocks was to prevent the blocked user from seeing your public posts, as security-theatre as that seems.

also, yes, the settings publish a Reject Follow which, while not a Block activity, is still a cooperative notification
