I guess i will stop being concerned about the cryptominer that Mastodon.host has put in place. Since user trust is violated massively by running it at 50% cpu for an unlimited time i will now leave the platform. Follow me on henk717@mstdn.io if you didn't follow me there already.
@gled Is the difference a cyrpto miner? Because it certainly helps in heating up my system and making things slow. https://mastodon.host/processor.js is not desirable.
@BryanLunduke You could just make a native simplistic page linking to the multiple providers you support. Paypal donation button, paypal subscription button, bitcoin address, etc.
#FVD
@angristan Here is a link to the bots account in action, i wouldn't be surpriced it if already follows you making your toots appear instantly on this global timeline. @federationbot
Federation report: in the last hour, https://mastodon.host received 10334 toots from 276 instances. We can see at the moment 51.76% of the network statuses and are connected to 2521/1203 known instances.
@skiring@House_of_Pears@gled The problem is that threating people is objective. If i say someone is horribly wrong that can be taken as debate or an jnsult depending on the interpetation. I want to make sure i am never at risk of deletion even when i argue with someone on a sensetive subject.
@gled I am considering to move to your instance but i am cautious due to the trend in the industry where people may no longer voice there opinion. Is it ok to hold any opinion on this server as long as it is not directly attacking other users?
For example i am against groups standing up for groups such as minoritys, a certain gender or other label. This is because i believe in true equality where you should stand up for the rights of everyone rather then a certain ingroup.
I tend to agree with people like Sargon of Akkad who got banned from Twitter.
Is this instance for me or would my opinions and/or discussions be censored by the team?
Considering to move over to this instance due to there amazing technical achievements, mstdn.io might have better free speech policies though so not entirely sure which one will win in the end.
