Ok so out of stuff using #ActivityPub, #Mastodon replaces Twitter, #Pixelfed replaces Instagram, #PeerTube replaces YouTube. What is there that replaces SoundCloud? #askMastodon

@lostnbronx trying not to say anything negative but i am 4 or 5 chapters into Street Candles is way better than Motherload.

Ok boys and girls, Motherboard by @lostnbronx was fun. This is not my usual brainy/nerdy/high falutin literary fare but it reminds me of old Saturday matinees at the theatre. I had a brain fart the other day to expedite my never-ending quest to learn #emacs. I thought that I would remove every program that is not Emacs or Mplayer (I must have tunes!) from my computer. But I think the #shutterbug has striken so I may want to keep #gimp and a web browser.

@lnxw48a1 @moonman The truth is that I am a middle-aged, lower middle class, blue collar working stiff who is actually trying to live a smaller quiter life. Most people (esp younger folk) are trying to become something and I am trying to become nothing. I doubt anyone is interested in my what I read or watch on TV but those, weirdly enough, are the things I enjoy reading from other ppl.

In an odd instance of sychronicity last night, what I thought was going to be me dealing with a crisis in my sister's turned out to be that she wanted to show off her new hobby- photography. Then a little bit later Pixelfeed (for which I have been waiting) opened up for registration. Odd coincidence? Conspiracy? Fate? Kismet?

@fribbledom Well this is probably odd but on hot summer days my Dad would drink ice cold dill pickle juice over ice. He grew up in southern California
