    @thor I am not sure that dominance implies humiliation. I thing humiliation is actually a dominant agression, I think the dominant-submissive fetish plays with that agression. I admit though that a presisposition to dominance, probably implies a predisposition to dominant agression. Regarding the feminist ideals, well, they have to be confronted with biology besides culture, but I don't think they are unrealistic because repression is a big part of human culture (cutural constraints are very succesful at repressing our impulses).

    @thor I think the games of dominance are part of our sexual biological nature and it would be very difficult to get rid of them. Mix that witha mysoginistic society and then you have the perfect recipe for humiliation fantasies and attitudes. Nevertheless, there are a lot of exceptions (and dominance does not mean humiliation).
    For some reason I don't even like this dominance games, what turns me on in a woman is her own desire, not her submissiveness.

    @thor I also think that much porn is missoginistic, or at least sexist, but that is an expression of the reality of our society, not the other way around. If our society were not missoginistic or sexist, porn would not be sexist either, but it surely would still exist.

    @thor You are absolutely right. It is like being completely anti-cinema because watching the twighlight saga is harmfull for young people. Who cares Citizen Cane anyway? Also, the article seems to imply that all extremely graphic footage IS porn. Is journalism Porn? Was it porn when I saw the gruesome images of a bombing aftermath? Am I a sadist because I did not look away? I quite surely can say no.
