@deejoe @gemlog You know, now that I think about it, federation makes more sense than I first thought. With some user-controlled metadata, and perhaps some sort of reputation system, maybe ActivityPub could support an unconventional, self-organizing CRM network that wasn't specific to any one organization, but useful to many.

@gemlog Oh, I had no idea you could implement CiviCRM in pieces. I'll check it out!

@deejoe @gemlog Yeah... federation doesn't look like the solution here. If I'm wrong, all the better, but right now, I can't picture it.

@gemlog I have no intention of writing anything. It's all I can do to learn to use it. In fact, the whole reason I'm asking around at all is my hope of finding something with a short learning curve.

Now, if someone built a CRM on top of ActivityPub, I'd be the first to sign up. But don't ask me to create it.
