@webmind The stats are not perfect, there're issues. These are the only stats that include both AP networks and diaspora though. "Monthly user" = number of users active last month. Total number of registered users is not the best metrics, as some people register, login once and then never show up again.
@webmind I think this should be a feature. Why not? Ephemeral.glitch.social are already doing it. Some people like me don't put much value into toots except quick exchange of opinions that matters right now, and not 5 years from now. Hubzilla already has a feature of expiring posts and mail. I'd prefer it to be an optional core feature, rather than deleting manually or relying on some third party solutions.
@iday Thank you for the work you're doing! And for the"official instance" guide. May I suggest changing step 4? It's somewhat sad to see new accounts set a Twitter crosspost bot and think that's the best option. Could we perhaps promote another one? Post from Mastodon to Twitter? https://github.com/renatolond/mastodon-twitter-poster#features What's the difference? Same content reaches all people, but without unavoidable "t.co" links. Profit!
P/s There's a community rating system that may exclude poor quality materials that don't meet recommendations. If too many works aren't accepted, uploading is limited. It will be granted again later. This process is only for the purpose of providing usable images #Pixabay#photography
@cwcopa From some diaspora pods, latest bitcoin tagged post will be 21 hours ago, several posts each day. That's the curse/blessing of federated networks. Not all tagged posts federate to every server. It depends on a) how well server is connected, b) whether it has relay enabled. To feel the real power of diaspora one needs to connect with people. Many users make limited posts that will never federate unless you're in their aspect. Trust me, undercover diaspora is very alive đ
https://nerdpol.ch and https://diaspora.town should be stable. If you easily connect with people and plan to follow many tags (to make your timeline full), you could choose a smaller pod like diasporapod.no, to support better decentralization
@nipos Thank you! I was asking mostly from the point of view of a new user who comes to pleroma.social for information. It could be useful to have a link to Mastodon apps on Pleroma website with a comment that they all work for Pleroma :) I'll use that list as reference for now. Hope, Brutaldon will soon be added there as well
It would probably be useful to add such a list to pleroma.social. Would someone from #Pleroma team like to create one? I can also do it, however would be best if someone actively using Pleroma maintains it :)
Please, more personalized servers. It's just some friendly description, personalized background. But for users it may mean more than that. Itâs the #community they choose.
