#Fediverse is apparently moving closer to 3 million registrations at the moment ๐
#Mastodon is still the fastest growing platform. Other Fediverse networks grow at a steady gradual pace. The number of active users increases.

Last time I checked there were ~26.536 #Misskey users. Right now it's 1.890, according to fediverse.network stats. Have the inactive / test accounts been purged? (That's what diaspora admins sometimes do after 3-5 years of user inactivity)
@kaniini I'm glad you liked it. ๐ The postActiv paragraph was actually provided by Maiyannah Bishop. These descriptions will be soon replaced with boring dry text enumerating main features (and limitations) of each platform. If anyone from Pleroma active users wants to contribute such description, please, do. Preferably via GitLab repo, but a direct message to this account will be fine too!
@kaniini Great news. Where can I get the SVG source?
@debugninja Currently it's a little over 2 million registrations (does not equal active users). Here are the general stats, but they are very approximate due to opt-in nature and because many people use several platforms at once: https://the-federation.info
@naught101 Here some geographical Mastodon instances: https://github.com/distributopia/masto-world-overview#regional These are only the ones I've come across, most likely there are more. If you plan to run an instance with open registrations, please, add your instance to that list later:)
@stolas Has Pleroma got an official logo? As for the mascot, my 5 cents - Kirin. Technically it's an animal :) I played with the idea some time ago (just a concept): https://gitlab.com/lostinlight/per_aspera_ad_astra/tree/master/pleroma-concept
@judeswae Could you please mention me when publishing the list you've compiled? I would very much appreciate it! Here's a short list of orgs - though few among those run their own instance: https://gitlab.com/fediverse/fediverse.gitlab.io/wikis/Official-Fediverse-accounts At the very bottom there's a link to servers which include some org's servers as well.
@rixx Good to know! Then I'll may be ask you for non-scifi fantasy recommendations some time soon, after crossing out current 20 books in the reading list
@rixx Storm it, what a coincidence. I'm finishing it right now. These books have taught me how to curse properly ๐ Enjoyable reading! P/s I thought you were more into scifi fantasy?
Storm it, no RSS subscription in Gitea repos. How am I going to get updates about new releases? :/
There's a lot of excitement about Instagram-like #Fediverse networks: Pixelfed, Fontina, Anfora.
Many fedizens (including me) wait for them to start federating.
๐ก One project already federates with diaspora-protocol networks and will soon federate with ActivityPub networks.
#Socialhome is particularly good for sharing image content
#Socialhome 0.9.0 release ๐ก
brings a few long awaited features.
Users can now delete and export their data, admins can publish terms and privacy documents.
Other improvements include support for limited content, notifications on mentions, tag search and new local content stream.

#Python
@fitheach ๐ Hypolite Petovan is #Friendica dev. Hubzilla is an excellent Fediverse project with some unique features. Friendica is also very well connected with other networks even today, without AP, and it's suitable for less technical users.
Did someone just say E2EE in ~~objects~~ Fediverse?
>_>
<_<
Hey lets all give a warm welcome to #Ring (@ring) for joining the #fediverse! If your unfamiliar they are a #floss decentralized secure messaging app/protocol!
@kosebamse Ouch. *sends revival elixir*
