heldscalla trash:
we're bad people @abbycakes watch out
we are hoping that #gscon #regretcon #mastocon bring us together to have an authentic #federation experience
https://www.gscon.org/
https://www.regretcon.org/
https://www.mastocon.org/
we are looking for #organizers
https://source.heropunch.io/www/gscon_org
the idea is to have an umbrella that different groups can use to publicize and run their #federation con event
doesn't have to be big or fancy, just have fun with it.
An #apocalypse idea that just came to me... The world reaches 9,999,999,999 people only when the next one is born the population counter rolls over and suddenly the population drops to 1. Turns out that's the answer to the Fermi Paradox, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_paradox
'The #EU Suppressed a 300-Page Study That Found Piracy Doesnβt Harm Sales'
Here a blogpost by Julia Reda who made the EU release the study:
Does copyright infringement negatively affect legal sales? This is a fundamental question with profound implications on the way copyright and copyright enforcement policy should work
In January '14 the European Commission...β¬360.000 to conduct a study on the question
Why did the Commission,..choose not to publish this study..?

@jjg @Elizafox I could personally kill any number of chimps depending on how many bullets my gun holds and it really doesn't matter how we reproduce as long as it keeps happening and we don't go extinct
the fact that we can cooperate on complex tasks *is our evolutionary advantage*
:THINKING:
I PREFER CUTIES WHO RESPECT MY FREEDOM

first draft of the #heropunch roadmap is wrote π
@eris @KitRedgrave not to mention http://www.kiwix.org/
@augustus @notjeff there's an important distinction between collectivization and the nullification of the individual and cooperation where individual agents work together to build something that they could not accomplish alone.
i wont accept the former, but we can make some shit if you keep my personal life out of it.
> ya but i'm like special and broken and shit so you better like give me special treatment or something idfk
give me freedom or fuck off
every #gscon has to start with a "sex joke" about @xj9 that probably isn't a joke but its hard to tell then you pussy out at the last second because you realize that i never lose when playing chicken
@SarcasmKid ok well i guess we know whats happening at the next #gscon
my crypto addresses are on https://vcard.xj9.io/
tips are welcome, but not required
@hj yo i agree
i only look at #corp for ideas and give merit to the ones that seem to be giving them an edge against their #corp competition
we can then take a superior hybrid approach without having to go through the expensive dialectic process ourselves
@hj @eal no YOU are missing the point, good shit is good shit and people use it for a reason and you learn from that.
obviously what you really want is free hardware and free software, but we also have to be competitive in terms of UX and features if we want to be able to sell people on the freedomware. not only by creating alternatives, but by being innovative and creating shit that you can't get anywhere else.
@lunar well, you *do* have to opt out of the #corptech system, just like you opt to use #GOOG #APPL or #FB products. you make a choice. as an activist and developer it is my job to make the free alternatives useful and attractive so that users will have practical reasons to adopt tech that respects their freedom.
if you are a developer or marketing person, well the weight *is* on your shoulders because you have the skills to influence people use to better shit.
