@Lordimpala Thanks. I've got it, but it's long: thecounterevolutionary.com.
Of course, I own combaticus.com, too. ;)

Can't tell you how much I've felt like being at home here. Tom was one of the reasons I joined—we weren't even connected, but I liked his take on things and thought I should join his instance. I didn't even know about the show at that point!

@SLRock @lwdallas @hamsterglue @NICKtheRAT @Combaticus That's everyone. It's not a property of the left or right. There are cynical people who know they can get to power / results faster by throwing everyone and everything else under the bus, exploiting tensions / tragedies. The real corruption is when people who wouldn't participate in it first tolerate it, then themselves become part and parcel of it.

Well said. I know I was picking on the left in the pod, but you're right. This is a condition of humanity and I agree that it may be worse to just let it happen.

This is an episode of the Gist, with Mike Pesca, someone on the left, but it sounds like not in dimension B. In it he says speech is not violence, Milo and Coulter should be protested, but not kicked of campus, and why he seeks out Ben Shapiro. It's a good listen, about 9 minutes from about 18 minutes in:

@TomNovak Boom!!! Very cool. Close friend became Greek Ortho a few years ago. I went to his Crismation. Amazing. I'd go back to the RCC, but the mix of theology with reason plus the whole pope thing (especially this guy) is too much. It's hard to find home these days.

@SLRock I wish I made them more clear in the pod, but that's what happens when a man turns on a mic and speaks his mind—we all get to see his mind is not 100% clear. :)

@TomNovak I've always recognized the RCC's embrace of both Reason and Theology, starting with the scholastics and right through the Enlightenment. I see the allure of that approach, but have noticed it can create problems when "science" demands the revision of theology. For me, the way the RCC has placed almost equal weight on both is a flaw and not a feature. But, I'm on the outside looking in. Sounds like you're in like Flynn.

@Johnny_of_the_swamp Pulling that file right now. Amazing how fast this stuff moves these days. I remember when a gig was hours of downloading ... and then you had to join the files. Good times. Thanks for sharing.

@Johnny_of_the_swamp Good point. You know I just ordered (and received) Hicks' "Explaining Postmodernism" based on JBP's recommendation. Looking forward to reading that.

Thanks for explaining. I thought maybe I had seemed unthoughtful and you were pushing back. Glad I asked for more info.
RE: the author, Peter Burfied, he's a Lutheran pastor, so there's no way he's not going to paint a picture using the faith as a lens. BTW, had to look up chiaroscuro. Nice.
Not sure I agree that wokeness=revealed for all religions, but I also don't think it's worth quibbling over. Your point is well taken and I'll leave it at that.

@SLRock BTW, I think I need to work my thoughts out more. They could be a great deal more developed, but it would take some time and some writing. ;)

@SLRock Great question and you've put your finger on my failure to clearly connect the dots. So ...
1. Progressives don't believe in the transcendent, only the material
2. Thus, there is no good, no right or wrong AND no such thing as true authority, as all of this is rooted in God
3. Thus, they only believe in power—the law of the jungle
4. So, they'll do anything to gain and keep power, including being silent about a schmuck like Menendez or attacking Trump for imagined Nazi-ism.
