Stay cool down there, the high for this week (assuming they are close to correct) for us up north is 87F so not too bad.

>The song includes the sound of a touch-tone telephone number being dialed near the beginning and ending of the song. Those numbers were an unlisted phone number at CBS Records in Manhattan ("area code 212" stated in the song), and the number of the White House switchboard (in the similar-sounding area code 202).
While they might have caused some fear of masks in the 30 infants, they also should have tried faces with clown makeup to see if that also affected them. It could just have been a reaction to the non normal colors of faces that caused them to react.
>polkit is a system service installed by default on many Linux distributions. It’s used by systemd, so any Linux distribution that uses systemd also uses polkit. As a member of GitHub Security Lab, my job is to help improve the security of open source software by finding and reporting vulnerabilities. A few weeks ago, I found a privilege escalation vulnerability in polkit. I coordinated the disclosure of the vulnerability with the polkit maintainers and with Red Hat’s security team. It was publicly disclosed, the fix was released on June 3, 2021, and it was assigned CVE-2021-3560. > >The vulnerability enables an unprivileged local user to get a root shell on the system. It’s easy to exploit with a few standard command line tools, as you can see in this short video. In this blog post, I’ll explain how the exploit works and show you where the bug was in the source code. >...
Music and songs typically tell a story in lyrics. What if I took the songs and reversed it to make a story out of a song? While the story could be just a longer version of the lyrics, this is not my goal. Music can evoke many different emotions and even instrumental works can lay the groundwork for a story. While I am working on a few other things I thought I would start with one that kind of came together very quickly, and I do mean quickly, like five seconds I had the outline done in my head. I have still yet to write it down. OK, Done.
The story is from one line in the song, that was all that was needed.
So, Music Stories will be a very random and maybe not very often thing that gets thrown into the mix here. The format may be a little different and may change over time as I try different things to see how it flows.

The first Music Story
Tom awoke with a start, sitting up in his bed, drenched in sweat and his hands shaking. He had never had a dream be so real. Or at least it seemed real. Very real. Also very fuzzy. While the effect on his body was real, his memories of the dream were not all there, it was almost more of an emotional memory rather than a visual memory. ...
At last $EMPLOYER we had a visit with a couple of local FBI agents many years ago, in part as we were a medical (device) company. They seemed to miss the device part and were really only concerned with us getting requests for drugs, as a medical company. Due to the many regulations surrounding the use of drugs in devices, my former $EMPLOYER never did anything with drugs and they seemed to lose all interest in us due to that. They did ask one question about our security, both physical and cyber but everything else was related to drugs.
In Oregon: "As of 6/10/2021, 67.2% of the eligible population (18+ years) has received at least one dose of any COVID-19 vaccine according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."
By county the numbers vary from 34.2% to 70.7%.
Per the Governor, once the state hits 70% it will be opened, not sure if there will be other limits for counties that are below 65% level that is deemed lower risk, six counties are there already.
