@fu As long as there's no agreement between the parents, you can't change the kids' eating habits. If you try, you'll just create strife.
But if you're the family vacuum you're also eating poorly. You're better off letting the food be thrown away (or put out for the neighborhood dogs or whatever hungry creatures roam your area at night).
Your doctor can probably refer you to a nutritionist or dietitian to help you plan what *you* eat better. They'll probably also want you to exercise, but I don't think medical insurance will pay for exercise advice or a health club / gym membership.
@fu Someone probably already mentioned it, but there was a while when #Apache #OpenOffice was in stasis ... even security holes were not getting patched. Up until then, I had OpenOffice (formerly OOo [OpenOffice.org]) on some computers, and #LibreOffice on others (and occasionally both), but at that point, I switched completely.
To be honest, I preferred #KOffice until they changed it on the way to becoming #Calligra.
When searching, the results page says "Did you mean 'baseball'?" and gives results for that term. You have to click "Show results for 'Baxball' instead." or you won't find what you're looking for.
I'm a #baseball fan, but I'd like to learn more about #cricket. Do you have some suggested resources?
#Chunkhost, which is where the #VPS for the USS server (used by N5) and VPS for the !OSP server are hosted, announced an imminent shutdown. Apparently, they've been losing money for a while, even after laying off almost all their staff.
I just paid for another year in July, but will probably not receive a refund.
The timing is bad, because there's no budget for hosting (or anything else) right now.
One field of use for #tcl that I think people might find surprising is that it mixes well with #nix , at least to me.
Tcl in #nixos has few dependencies, so you can use it for miscellaneous scripts without feeling bad about it.
When doing Nix stuff you can easily get into a few layers of quoting, something Tcl's syntax handles better than the shell code people instinctively reach for.
Tcl excels at orchestrating and composing system commands, again a typical Nix concern.
Finally, even though the programming model could be said to be the inverse of functional programming, on a superficial level I think Nix code and Tcl have a shared aesthetic, they just look good together. 😃
