@fu I'm just guessing, but I'd expect one of the objectives of the various prosecutions that are springing up in various places is to make #Trump ineligible for office. That would make a "Trump party" useless.
@simsa04 I don't know how it is in Deutschland, but in USA, I'm told that some states allow "expected tips" to be deducted from the wage paid. Some states also allow tipped workers to be paid less than minimum wage.
So I agree. The tips system does more harm than good. But here, at least, the solution has to start at the legislation end: make employers responsible for paying the full wage and make tips completely optional. After that, we can see if employees can wean themselves off of tips.
I think #Apple's lawyers would smack him down hard. He's had years to produce proof that he's Satoshi Nakamoto, but has not done so.
CW is currently involved with the #BSV (Bitcoin Satoshi's Vision) fork of Bitcoin. I haven't looked at much else about BSV, but that's a good enough reason to prefer #BTC and forks such as #BCH & #BTG.
Anyway, it is something you may wish to take a look at.

lnxw48a1Anker, the brand that makes charging accessories for mobile devices, also has a mouse. "Vertical ergonomic mouse" appears to be available in wire or wireless, and left-handed or right-handed models. I'm using a right-handed wired version right now, and even after a few minutes, my wrist feels much better.
One of the trainees in #AL had one (violating the rule about attaching one's own equipment to $EMPLOYER devices), but I did get to discuss how it felt. He said he'd purchased it at Walmart, so I went to both local stores without finding it. After I returned to #CA, I checked the smaller of the local stores and also checked Target. I ended up ordering it from Amazon.
That affects me as a "decline to state" a party voter, because there's zero chance for me to vote for someone whose views and agenda are similar to mine. (Not that I've seen any third party candidates whose views are similar to mine, but if such a candidate ever arose, they aren't likely to be in the Democratic or Republican parties.)
Anyway, the article doesn't specify _how_ the new law improves third parties' ballot access, but I'm happy to see voters have better access to alternatives to the #twin_parties.
Back when I was in business courses, we discussed "enlightened self interest", which could motivate management to behave better toward employees, customers, and the world around them.
It still doesn't remove corporations' reptilian behavior. So now there's this idea that investment according to a set of environmental, social, governance principles can strongly motivate management to do better.
When you join the Supremes, you already know that you'll face intense scrutiny whenever you make a controversial decision. So why would have do anything to draw that scrutiny.
At the very least, that's poor judgment. But it looks more like actual corruption, regardless of whether it really is or is not.
If you are a judge and you cannot afford a half-million dollar vacation, maybe you should not go on one, especially if someone else offers to pay.

lnxw48a1I've never been in an employment situation where joining a union was an option. But I did work at a couple of fast food places during college, and the big thing I learned is that if a corporation has market power in your relationship, they will generally treat you badly. Some are worse than others (e.g., my first job in that industry was with a relatively enlightened organization; the other job was with a company with leaders who should have had "bastard" tatooed across their faces), but they're all that way.
Open Source Initiative's "Webmink" calls them reptiles. When a crocodile, alligator, or snake kills you, it isn't any kind of personal thing against you. Their nature is to do these things, and you forget it at your peril. So it is with corporations: they don't personally hate their employees, but their nature is to drain the life force out of their employees to sustain and grow themselves ... and they'll do the same to their customers and to the communities in which they dwell.
Until you understand this, it is easy to impute human emotions to emotionless beings like reptiles ... and corporations. And then you'll be surprised and disappointed when their inner nature is revealed when they turn on you.
Trust not the corporation, for its nature is to deceive you, to cheat you, and to eventually destroy you, all for its own benefit.
@clacke Despite my hesitancy to ever agree with former governor Scott Walker* on anything, he is right that our public school system--at least in the state of California--does actively promote a single party's agenda. And since I dislike both sides of the #twin_parties, I don't want either one to "win". Therefore, I don't like the politically leaning teaching.
That said, if his party had restricted CxO salaries, increased taxes on higher-income individuals and on corporations, stopped opposing unions & workers, and shown some tolerance for other views on certain issues, he wouldn't have to worry about losing the future to the other half of the twin parties. Oh, and stopped being the corporations' puppet. (Not that the other half aren't also corporate puppets, but they choose to serve different corporations and use different reasoning for their actions.)
* Walker was the bozo governor who tried to extinguish state employee unions in a state with historic ties to the automobile industry, where most people should know just how vile and predatory corporations can become if there aren't strong unions and scrutinizing regulators.

lnxw48a1In other news, my air mattress sprung a leak, so when I awoke to find part of my body at floor level, I decided to replace it. I wanted the same brand and model, but #Walmart had a different brand & model (less expensive; we'll see how long it lasts) on the shelf, so that's what I got. I would not be surprised if my original model is on one of their aisle-blockers.
If you haven't been to a US Walmart, most locations put display racks in the middle of the walkways, so that people have to slow down. I'm guessing that people do more impulse buying this way.
The aisle-blockers are another reason I shop elsewhere whenever I can.
Done about an hour ago. One of the families started loading up around the time we left. The second family appeared to be about halfway through their laundry.
I know going to the #laundromat / #laundería is not the most thrilling thing in the world, but why let it build up until #coin-laundry day is all day?
I guess this could be part of their "Spring cleaning", since I did notice a lot of bedding being washed.
