@nev it's a great little prototyping material, but get it only in small batches and don't expect whatever you make with it to last more than a few months.
A bit inspired by @federicomena making his own bags, a bit because the weather today is truly bad enough to avoid going out altogether, I finally put a bit of work into my Timbuk2/Brompton frame project. (cf. https://www.instagram.com/p/BgNEDlelh8D/ for details)
I neglected to take photos, but so far so good! 25mm webbing and National Molding hardware for the frame-to-bag strapping, and a double layer of blue coroplast with electrical tape on the edges to add some rigidity to the bag base.
@federicomena the air volume on a full sized tire is the one thing I miss from the bike I had before my Brompton! Alas!
The roads here are generally pretty good, but my specific commute route takes me through a construction area. Staples, screws, glass shards, everything. So I'm running Marathon Plus tires. Clunky, but invincible: no punctures!
Self made bags *absolutely* count! What have you made?? Got any photos? I'd love to see them!
Hey #mastobikes, is there such thing as a CO₂ inflator with a manometer built in? (And a regulator too, I guess, since it wouldn't be terribly useful to be able to see your pressure but not do anything to hit a specific target.)
With any luck the production run of the vostok.bike titanium forks should ship out in a week or so and I'll be able to install the front disc wheel, rotor, and caliper too!
Deep sweetness, like molasses or brown sugar; only a very mild floral/fruit accompaniment. Creamy, slightly chocolatey, roast flavours only hinted at. Absolutely delicious.
