I like learning little facts about the things that interest me... it's just too bad that I don't have the memory to contain them all so I can bore you all with facts at every inconvenient opportunity.
-
The Wren... this little bird was once featured on the old British farthing coin on the reverse during 1937 to 1960 because it was thought to be Britain's smallest bird. https://sealion.club/attachment/2730002

@thatbrickster Because where we're going, there will scarcely be people except for maybe other bird watchers if we go somewhere specialised for it... but they tend to be older. xD
-
The blue tit... quite a beauty. https://sealion.club/attachment/2729983

The snowy owl is majestic. https://sealion.club/attachment/2729977

I was going to talk about how cute the black-billed cuckoo is, but then I realised that they have to be cute considering they have been known to lay their eggs in other bird nests. :') https://sealion.club/attachment/2729973 https://sealion.club/attachment/2729974

Imagine being married to sim and having to trail along while exploring nature, wildlife and old buildings.
-
I'd love to just grab a pair of binoculars, go somewhere out in the wild and observe the wildlife around there. Particularly the birds. But whatever fascinates me works.
-
@mangeurdenuage This is lovely. Thanks for sharing.
-
One of my favourite bird species is the Falcon. This is the peregrine. https://sealion.club/attachment/2729933

I feel like I volunteer to basically watch birds right now.
-
@wizard Yeah... what I am after is basically on youtube. It is largely the content there. But I do agree... the best we can do is to try to use the FOSS alternative for personal use. Work is a different matter... it is still not easy to get businesses to adopt free software.
-
We mentioned the possibility of seeing a Golden Eagle today being very slim... but what a glorious sight it would be. What a glorious bird! https://sealion.club/attachment/2729851

Too often when I have to deal with software itself, I like it even less.
-
@marmite Ahhh. I found an image on search which is probably what it looks like. Interesting concept but I wouldn't use it, I think.
-
Mfw I can't find the option to switch js back on so I can see images since Duckduckgo usually re-directs me to the non-js option which has no images. -_-
-
@marmite It would be nice to see a proper example rather than using it to login, tbh. xD It is nice to see different little projects taking off like this though.
-
@toshiro Thanks!
-
@phildobangnz Yeah... me too.
Thanks... you too! My day isn't really sweet but whatever. xD It was nice to get out for a while though!
-
@marmite Not dumb at all! It takes adjusting to. xD So how would I find it on SPC?
