@foxhkron Now that makes sense. I was curious about this before. I guess I'm fortunate that unlisted posts still get federated through OStatus or else I'd miss out on even more. One thing that bothers me with this is this idea that people might think I am ignoring them when I just didn't see the post. It's a helpless feeling.

@foxhkron I appreciate that you were able to translate what I meant! xD I forgot pinning was something else.
But yeah, it is interesting that GS accepts unlisted posts but will just post it like a normal post that is public which includes in the whole known network. But it won't touch followers-only since it doesn't support the feature that followers-only posts have. It makes me wonder why... they must be done differently.

@foxhkron I'm getting my terms mixed up right now. ;; I actually mean unlisted posts rather than unpinned. I don't if that changes what you are thinking about?
But yeah, GS calls it Public and The Whole Known Network.. although the terms are slightly changed on this instance as a theme.

@foxhkron Ahh... but that doesn't make much sense when there is also a global timeline that they appear on. I thought it was something that included that as well as being off the public timeline itself. Not that I can test public timelines here with the feature.

It does make me wonder... what is the difference between unpinned and followers-only? GS doesn't support the followers-only feature and won't even try to send it. But it will accept unpinned posts, and treat those like it does normal public posts.

Now I can confirm to myself that unpinned posts show up on twkn on GS/qvitter. Found the post in question at last.

It's a bit like being stuck with my wifi provider. Every time we have to reboot the system, it takes minutes before I get wifi back and working. Sometimes I feel like I'm waiting for ten minutes or more for it.

It takes quite a few minutes to load a few posts. This sucks.

@detectivehyde Yeah, it helps when you aren't slurring people for being different to you. You'd think the people that use these terms as a slur would know this if they've been slurred themselves. I feel like there is room for different types of people, and a community needs that in order to get things done.
