@phildobangnz Interesting stuff, huh? So rich and steep in history... but yeah, caves are both dangerous and cool!
-
@phildobangnz Sounds like something that I might be better off not learning more about... ;;

-
@phildobangnz Nope... I don't usually visit caves! ;;
-
@phildobangnz It has its own beauty! Plus caves have been places of fascination to humans for thousands of years. They are a sight of mystery, wonder, fascination, beauty... they are sacred. I think I also looked into mining at some point.ย
-
@phildobangnz I'm not sure, sorry. Might be an idea to research the cave itself to find out.
-
@phildobangnz Yeah. Re-discovering my fondness of caves!

@detectivehyde @phildobangnz I'm afraid that I don't think I saved the photo and I don't know where I saw it, sorry.
-
@detectivehyde Some more... (Although I really wish that I could place the cavern scene!) https://sealion.club/attachment/2735324 https://sealion.club/attachment/2735325 https://sealion.club/attachment/2735326

@detectivehyde This isn't the same as the cavern, but these were other inspiring photos I have that I was putting together for a story. I forget where they are from, but probably greece or italy. I like taking inspiration from there. :') https://sealion.club/attachment/338839 https://sealion.club/attachment/2735321 https://sealion.club/attachment/2735322

@detectivehyde @phildobangnz Truly, it was magical! I think it even inspired me to write a scene like it back then.
-
@detectivehyde @phildobangnz Hmm. I think I sort of get your sentiment. You'd allow the tree to grow, to free it.
On another note, I actually did see a beautiful cavern where some of the ceiling had fallen away... and there was water there with wildlife around. I wish I knew where to find it again, it was beautiful...

@detectivehyde @phildobangnz No problem!
From another post you've made, I wonder if you think that the top layer is one that is manipulating us. In which case, I wonder if the symbology of the world might be better than layered like a pyramid. At the core, is those that think deeply, that crave for real conversation and interaction. They are encased at the core of our being. In the middle is those that prefer chit-chat, that prefer lighter conversations and topics like the ones you mentioned. Entertainment and distraction. Then the surface could be where manipulation occurs, especially when you think that what happens on the surface influences the middle layers through time. Or some other combination.
-
@phildobangnz @detectivehyde Understandable. Plus plenty of people prefer to avoid conflict if it can be helped. Telling someone you have a problem with them is often riddled in conflict.
Aha. Well, there are the times when jokes don't work well for me. I end up responding literally, even in the cases where I've realised it could be a joke. Other times I don't catch on, or I'm not in the right mood to appreciate a joke. But you've definitely caught me at a time when you've ended up on the receiving end. I try to be more 'diplomatic' in my approach but there are times when I don't have the mental energy to keep that going, and snap. I think I've done it a few times today.
-
@detectivehyde @phildobangnz Well, until you know what layer that is, I would caution against making it your enemy just yet. You may be resistant to it due to the layer you are on, just as people at the third layer can resist the second layer. Perhaps out of fear, or because they don't want to think deeper. There are people that prefer chit-chat over having meaningful conversations because it is safer. It doesn't challenge them like meaning does. Just my cents. I don't actually know what this top layer is like.
