@fatboy I use Conversations Legacy. I don't know of any server with open registration though, XMPP has gotten a lot popular recently and some had to temporary close registration because their servers can't keep it up.

I know that Jabber.org said they'll open for new accounts soon™. But that was a while ago. Also, I'm supposed to setup a server on LinuxRocks, but the owner is not responding ATM, I need access two ports for SSL. :P

@istvan @dar13 That's two brands I'll never recommend to anyone, at least of they're priced more than €50. Go with the Ducky, it's a well known and respected brand.
