@irstm Yes! I'm planning to make it available on Linux. The first Neofeud is on Linux and seems to have worked out for those who got it. Neofeud 2 is being made in the same engine (AGS) https://silverspook.itch.io/neofeud
Shut every airport, school, garbage collection facility down with strikes. The airport shutdowns in particular disproportionately hurt the rich fuckers who can afford to be flying from conference to golf course to champagne toast to skiing in the Swiss Alps every other day.
"Don't bother securing your data - we know literally everything" Designing this really not evil philanthropic fictional megacorporation for Neofeud 2. :D https://silverspook.itch.io/neofeud2
My game where a social worker for homeless robots takes on a cabal of capitalist billionaire CEO-Kings is cheap rn! :) "The art and writing are stellar. Its a great cyberpunk adventure." I'm one-person indie business so this is food/rents money, much appreciated! Itch: https://silverspook.itch.io/neofeud Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/673850/Neofeud/
I am serious about billionaires escaping dead Earth to Mars, or going underground. That is literally their plan. They are only debating whether to put shock collars on the work force, bribe them with luxury bunker suites, or just rely on robotic security.
Jeff Bezos, asked what to do with $150 billion: "All I can think of is going to Mars."
The plan is to murder the human race and run away with sociopath scientists and programmer bot-managers.
@tibius You have to actually stop the wheels of capitalism from turning. Like in France, where YV protests got the austerity-tax rescinded, a raise in minimum wage, raise in pension age, etc.. or the water protectors at the DAPL, currently fighting Canadian pipelines they're trying to steamroll over indigenous lands, Tarsands, etc.. Or on my island, (Hawaii) where a corporation is dumping industrial waste into the water table that provides H20 for myself and my children.
@feonixrift Yep, exactly. It's like the 80's again, except it's not nuclear annihilation that is most likely to do it. Atomic apocalypse is just one of the *less likely* ways we'll exterminate all life on Earth.
In our cyberpunk *present* where megacorporations ruin lives, create global fascism, and end habitability of Earth past 2030, w/ extinctionary-capitalism, cliche 80's retrofuture is escape from futurelessness. And yet, true *punk* - resistance to overwhelming oppression - seen in works like Neuromancer, The Windup Girl, Sorry to Bother You, & mass-protests at pipelines and Paris streets, is more necessary than ever.
[Tens of thousands of Los Angeles teachers went on strike Monday after negotiations in the nation’s second-largest school district collapsed.
Braving rain, teachers carrying signs saying "on strike for our students" and umbrellas stood in picket lines Monday morning demanding smaller class sizes, more nurses, counselors and librarians, higher wages for educators and more accountability for charter schools.]
