I always draw triangles using three dots, I never connect them directly. It visually leaves the mathematically perfect lines versus imperfect representations of them.

I've been thinking a lot about the philosophy of mathematics lately. What _is_ it that we are studying when we do mathematiks?

Are we studying eternal platonic objects that are supposedly numbers? Are we just studying patterns or structures? Are we merely mentally constructing systems? What is mathematiks?
