@hund I meant the notebooks, the lenovo enterprise grade line. They also switched to flat keyboards, which are not always better than the older ones. They certainly look better though.
@hund Great, thank you! I see that keys and keyboards are your very special field. I definitely like those silent keys. Otherwise I do like the older X series keyboards, although they are not all the same, there are differences.
@Jase@kelbot There is an OpenRC version of Arch available. Cannot comment on how reliable it is though.
To be honest I never got that feeling being unsatisfied with distros. I mean it's Linux after all. I build it the way I like it. And there is surely no shortage of Linux (or BSD) distros on this planet (well, there is only one Haiku though... and no more SkyOS).
@areppo Check Replicants. With an S3 or Note 2 it works well. You can even get GPS working (there are tutos on the net) but it requires proprietary firmware. As for Sailfish: Many videos are available on hooktube - it's great, it's different.
@hund Ah, I get it now, for building keyboards, thank you for the video... Those switches are crucial for user experience I guess. Sometimes I think older keyboards - around ten years old - are often superior to those slim, flat, new ones... What I'd love to have is a completely silent keyboard and such a mouse as well...
@kelbot Well, actually, I'd say no. Why? Because either it's libre - and it's good. Or not - that's bad. There is no middle ground. Do or do not. There is no try. If I think of distros like Trisquel (which is great and 100 % libre and usable on hardware), there is no need for middle ground either.
