I stopped using & deactivated my Facebook profile about 16 months ago. Facebook choosing Breitbart as a "trusted news source" was a great reminder for me to finally get around to that last step and delete my account today! #DeleteFacebook
Folks, I think we're about at the point where we can relax a bit and just say "printed" instead of "3D printed" and we'll be able to tell how many dimensions were involved from context.
@dirtycommo now, I'm not going to say there's no imbalance and there's no people getting filthy rich, but it's not like big movies destroy all that money.
They employ a lot of creative people, and cost what they cost in part because they often have very strong trade unions backing them up. :awesome:
Today's first problem. I can't reach my coffee because a small man has fallen asleep on my leg and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to move now. #MastoCats#coffee
@ben I played with Rainway a while ago and it seemed to cope ok in my moderately quirky environment, but then I didn't have a windows machine at all again so I haven't touched it for ages. Might be worth a try.
It is important to me to note that early in Mastodon's life, showing the number of unread notifications was considered an antipattern and users were vocally pleased that Mastodon DIDN'T do this.
@noelle oh wow, I have been putting off updating Chinwag to 3.0 and now I'm glad I didn't. I hate notification counts so much, huge anxiety trigger for me.
@bignose I've been realising lately it's as much about light as temperature. Short days make me really depressed. My ultimate dream is to be able to just swap hemisphere every six months.
@bignose I'd love to just decide that I'm ok with cold, miserable weather but I'm barely functional below 25 degrees, and I get maybe 2-3 months a year where I'm actually enthusiastic about life.
I love Melbourne a lot, but not the climate. If I could move the whole city to the equator, I would.
@rolaveric I found a second one as well. Wondering if they're from the same seeds as the other ones that I somehow dropped, or if the randoms from some other tomato that's been tossed out.
Will have to wait for fruit to know for sure I guess. The ones in the bed are cherry tomatoes so it should be pretty obvious.
A #tomato I deliberately planted, fertilised and cared for, vs a tomato that seems to have suddenly appeared in a patch of random soil I casually raked over on the same day I planted the other one and have been walking over constantly since. #garden
It feels kind of personal when the weather is really good on days I'm at work, then turns to shit when I have free time and want to go outside and do stuff.
