there is the "tramlines" city festival happening in #Sheffield this weekend. I've not got a ticket, but will try to check out some of the fringe events.
I've heard a rumour the Sarah Jay Hawley (ex Massive Attack) is doing an unannounced acoustic gig at my local! So will make sure I am around for that. 🙂

@ak It's a bit annoying, because one of the team came out as queer last week. Another young (early 20's?) person.

I was so happy. They had a got a coffee cup, saying "I used to be in the closet but now I am QUEER".

So lovely to see people able to be out and proud.

@ak I don't think they would dare do that around me. I really don't have any issues at work.

I think this person was just being thoughtless, and their mouth was moving without their brain being engaged.

@ak young as in 20 something. I went and spoke to them quietly and alone after. I didn't feel the need to make too much of an immediate issue. I said "I just heard you say "Thats' so gay". I don't know anything about your sexuality, but when people use that phrase, it makes LGBT people very uncomfortable. Please don't do it again".

I had to chat to a team member to day about "That's so gay" being said loudly.
I found it quite stressful. I really thought that this nonsense was done with.

Of course it ends with Hacker becoming Prime Minister ( without a general election).

For me, I quite like a bit of glitch! Listening to someone expressing themselves through a spontaneous functional iteration is joy. Hearing a pattern blow up and explode because a parameter has decided to divide by zero is a major source of algo pleasure for me.
