How long do you illuminate the chilies per day?

The lamp is just a normal kitchen light. I added the colors myself. Maybe there is a little advantage, if the lamp where closer, but the plants grow currently towards the light, so it works for me.

Yes, the lamp won’t heat. This isn’t necessary in my case, but it is to cold for the plants very close to the window, I have mold problems, so I have to come up with something ;)

No, no paper towel. I had bad experience with it. When the seeds germinate, the root connects with the paper towel and when I transplant the seeds the root often gets damaged.

So I have the seeds 2 – 4 days in the box with water. After this time:

Your plants really look create! Strong and healthy! What for a kind of bulb are you using?

In my opinion is 20°C for chili a little bit to less. Literature talk about 22 – 32°C (german: https://www.chili-shop24.de/chili-zuchtanleitung?c=119 (look for "Keim-Temperatur:") or english: https://www.fatalii.net/Growing_chile_peppers/Germinating)

Thank you for your input. The germination rate is really good, but the seeds aren’t directly on top of the radiator. If you do this, you lose a lot of energy, because the air can’t circle. So I did this: https://gnusocial.net/attachment/808923
