@mirzaba Cue the old cartoon of a man struggling inside a large colorless vessel outside a University. A woman is saying to a man in the grounds "We thought we'd see how much Physicists really do like frictionless vacuums."
Are there any pixel artists who would be willing to make me a profile photo? I'd love links to commission sheets or just like. A sample of your style? And pricing info?
@goosey True20 is a generic system OGL rules spin off from DnD3.5. I like it, YMMV.
Back in the day I used to manage 10-15 pages of prep per GURPS 3e scenario. Which is a lot by the standards of many a DM. But they were GM notes only. I've run a little bit of GURPS 4e and it's a lot more campaign prep but, I find it more fun in play. I'm currently doing the prep for a game I plan to run at my local store. And, yes, it's fun.
@goosey In truth a guide is a rare thing. As proven by a website which died 10 years ago which encouraged DMs/GMs to post scans of their old notes. Half a page a scenario is verbose.
Why is there so little awareness in IT/infosec circles of the environmental impact of flying?
All the time you can read tweets/toots like "Attended conference X, spoke about Y. Tried to save the world from EvilCorp. So exhausted. Now waiting at the airport for my long distance flight to Z".
Shouldn't we have a more holistic view of things? Isn't decentralization one of our main motives? An uninhabitable planet full of Free Software is still... uninhabitable ๐ค
@cosullivan My feeling is they're being a bit rude to join, toot their tweets and not interact with the fediverse denizens. I don't follow such accounts.
@pdominey All it needs is enough of a species to care about their individual survival. Humans are social animals so would extend that to the group as a general rule. But YMMV.
