@mulander
Yeah, keep using as long as it's not totally broken.
I'm a big fan of this approach myself.

stage3 already.
Should've used -j8 on previous attempts, too. Would save me a lot of time. -

@strikersan thing is, to self-host a video stream you need _a ton_ of bandwidth, unless you figure out some p2p solution.
AFAIK it's hard to get low latency with torrents, so you'd have to figure out something else.
Me and asie tried to come up with something but all of my ideas were prone to the Sybil attack.

Tfw gcc build failed because I forgot gcj builddeps, and didn't turn off gcj either.
And I couldn't be bothered to figure out how to make dpkg-buildpackage _not_ clean, so now it's building all from scratch.

@Wolf480pl ssh is truly a magical thing. The more I know about it, the more I use it and the more I love it. Just plain cool :3

@mulander what if you run out of things to do for near future, and have time for these "I want to do that someday" things but forget what they were?

@redsPL by worst I mean the most hacky/unusual.
Btw. ssh has some built-in VPN functionality, so in theory I could make them see each other w/o separate VPN software. Haven't played around with it yet tho. -

@schestowitz IMO new phenomena deserve new names. Even if this phenomenom of "my store my rules" is similar to DRM at some abstract level, I think it deserves its own name, and calling it "DRM" makes the term less useful.

@redsPL that's nowhere near the worst network setup I've seen.
PC1 --USB-> phone <--wifi-- PC2
no mobile internet on phone
no root, so can't set routing table for PC1 to see PC2phone$ ssh PC1 -L 2222:localhost:22
phone$ ssh PC2 -R 2222:localhost:2222
PC2$ ssh localhost -p 2222 -

@natecull filesystem has symlinks for a reason.
Also, for data that can change rapidly, you probably want transactions, so that you can change two pieces of data at the same time, w/o anyone seeing the partial state inbetween.
Also, replacing sqlite with files or some kind of object storage won't change the fact that what's stored inside the objects is app-specific.
So what we need is standars. Interchange formats.
