money is inherently toxic as it introduces inequality by design, and encourages us to manipulate each other to get what we want or at the very least survive

imagine a world where instead of bosses and customers yelling at employees to get the job done how and when they want it or they won't get paid, everyone is on equal terms and people have to wait patiently for others to complete work for them. and be grateful and kind, or they will no longer be served (or at least get lousy service)

two people said "mourning dove" and so i looked up what one sounds like. unfortunately, the source of the sound still remains a mystery. they were nothing alike.

though i now know at least what bird has been making that weird cooing i've heard all these years. strangely i've never really found the mourning dove depressing?

there's some animal or something...an owl? making some sort of "hoo" noise and it's annoying me to no end

it sounds so depressing, kinda like a sad whimpering dog almost, except long and exaggerated

@hoodieak sorlag should be a base champion not an unlock. that's just my take.

though i guess it did me good to learn how to play other champions first tbh

@hoodieak i mean if everyone can start with the same weapons, not a huge issue imo

my biggest concern is that the champions...aren't all unlocked from the start, and you don't really get to test them before buying unless you happen to test the champion during a week when they're free, meaning paid players have more abilities to choose from and an advantage

been trying to play a little bit of quake champions every day to improve, that usually means 2-3 matches since it's such a long wait to get into them and the matches last forever on top of that

i never thought i'd say it but i kinda really dig quake champions compared to the way pretty much every other shooter has gone. aside from excessive loading and matchmaking times, it's fun as hell and the unlocks are good. it barely feels like it's peddling free to play garbage at me.

@HerraBRE @hoodieak this!! i'm really happy on my instance, but i already feel that "moving to a new one would be so much work" and i can't imagine what it'd be like for someone who is worried about all the extra work of moving accounts but is in an uncomfortable/potentially abusive situation on their main instance

willow is extremely hyper this morning, what the heck

i'd put her outside but it's pouring rain

anyway yeah. dreams. they happen sometimes

"i'm not used to seeing him, i forgot he was still around" i said as i was petting him more enthusiastically than i was willow a second ago. "i'm excited because i haven't interacted with him in a while"

then i woke up to remember that oh yeah, he's dead, that's why i haven't seen him around or been able to pet him. in real life he was hit by a car over a year ago

it's not too upsetting but it is a little bizarre having dreams like that. where someone dead comes to visit

that's all i remember from that dream. another dream i had, involved me being in an old house i used to live in irl, and my mother had just come home from work or something. it was midday but i was tired and trying to sleep, and she was about to try too, but when i got up to pee she saw that i was awake and invited me downstairs to see all our pets.

i was petting willow and then got really surprised when football came up to me, and i remarked that i had forgotten about him?

the ad had run its course but we were still working on excavating and talking about yugioh? suddenly we were in a big warehouse building where the entire floor was a swimming pool, the walls were lined with books and movies, and all the coffins awaited transport atop pool floaties in the center of the room

i was one of the 3 main character pokemon, a pikachu who used to be a human PMD style. i was carrying a rotting coffin and was not used te how gross it was, just barely managed to put it with the others. there was some sort of game we were playing where we had to match certain coffins together by shape and size to figure out who they were and how to rebury them, like it was some sort of weird mystery show for kids

so the ad finasly cut to the name of the show (can't remember exactly what, something like pokemon rescue rangers or whatever silly dream generated nonsense) while it showed the main meat of the show: a bunch of pokemon in more modern times were working together to dig up graves of the victims of the catastrophe and rehome them in more permanent cemeteries or cremate them, as the land they were originally buried in became very swampy and all the graves were surfacing
