skyrim did a great job of making the player care about side quests because every quest line either gave you some new unique weapon/ability/armour, or turned you into some supernatural being. or at least let you kill someone super important :p

i haven't played much of previous games and i'm not sure if i ever will.

played some of fallout 3 and enjoyed that, wasn't keen on new vegas, liked what little i played of 4 before things started blending together and feeling eh

honestly the fallout universe needs to make me care a little more about side quests and/or the main story because the only fun part is the gameplay

i loved skyrim. it was a great game. it's still fun to play, but i'm sure it'll be surpassed by whatever comes next. i can only hope bethesda keeps the quality up.

@capn_pancakes i love how skyrim is basically all about the side quests. i would only ever do enough of the main quest to be able to unlock basic abilities, and then i'd be off hanging out with werewolves and running errands for daedric gods

@waweic i didn't, or rather, i didn't intend to. it just sorta happened. probably something to do with how my brain works i guess.

i haven't put any practise into it so i can't reliably do it whenever i want to; the most i can do consistently is wake myself up when something scares me.

other than that, recognition of being in a dream is infrequent and inconsistent, and full control is rare.

like, i love crypt of the necrodancer, but the gameplay style is meant for short bursts of play rather than day-long play sessions, and as such doesn't even reach my top 10

gameplay time rankings kinda suck because there are plenty of games that have more or less content, and my favourite games could have less time logged than games i like less but have more content to keep me occupied longer.

can't believe i have more time logged in civ5 than even skyrim on my steam games list. it's second only to terraria. though if you counted the time i played on ps3, plus the time i've played SE illegitimately, you could probably double or triple my skyrim time.

soon rocket league is probably gonna overtake both of these...

it was just cbd stuff though, and for some reason it came in sheets that looked like dried out, rolled up sod.

i was convinced that i needed some of the stuff with thc and was trying to find where i had put mine (despite my daily driver irl just being the cbd stuff...)

was thinking of doing some kink stuff after finding the weed but i never got around to it before waking up

can't remember most of this dream, but at one point i was wandering around the basement of a house i used to live in, and for some reason the whole back wall was glass with a sliding door, and i could see the neighbours fighting in their backyard while one was shoveling dirt angrily. a lot of it was ending up in my yard. and then somehow, in my mouth?

then i was looking down at a bunch of grass on a table. a pile of real grass, and a pile of "grass" (weed)

funny that i can't tell people what half of my lucid dreams are because as soon as i realise i'm in a dream i jump straight to kink stuff, thanks subconscious mind
