@BearishMushroom having a monetary system to tie to all our needs and wants just makes every kind of spending seem irresponsible

honestly if something makes you even a little bit happy it's not a bad choice to spend money on it

i keep getting these weird feelings about identity politics where they matter but they also don't, and it's hard to sort them out

like...oppression is good to keep in mind, respecting everyone's identity is good, but comparing marginalisations and keeping score can get bad real fast

not to mention like, the expectation that you have to live up to 100% of the definition of whatever labels you give yourself or are applied to you

i keep forgetting that i need to be open about myself if i want to find others who will accept me as i am.

but it's also so hard to be myself without anyone encouraging me to do it. i always worry what others will think if i do/say anything contrary to what they're used to.

but again, if i don't be myself then nobody i surround myself with will care about my actual self, just what i've shown them on the surface, and what they assume about me.

it's a big loop.

sometimes it's good to assume that the folks around us are thinking many of the same things we are.

of course, you have to be careful about projecting, but it's reasonable to assume the folks around you are probably just as confused and curious about the world as you are.

gonna play another match with this deck and if i can't get good draws i'm gonna stop playing mtga for the rest of the day at least

like i'd excuse it if it were just mana problems but i literally cannot draw any cards when i need them. decks that i would destroy with irl are ineffective because no matter how much of a card you put in you will draw none if you need it.

lmao i made a deck of my own and got to 50 life and the match is still going

i'm glad they give you a way to actually pick cards to get if you don't have them, even if it's limited. and wildcards comes super easily too. so it's not just all about rng which cards you're gonna pull

i'm tired of losing in mtga so i picked up a bunch of cartouches and trials in black with wildcards since i love using them irl

hey how come my draws in mtga are fucking awful every single time? i won the first two matches but can't seem to replicate that
