@kaniini i'm not picking sides here, i'm just noting that a lot of modern demonstrations are still too soft, and many of the same critiques of "keyboard warriors" can be applied

not enough direct action, too much optics

@kaniini also worth noting: getting yourself arrested/going to demonstrations doesn't always bring about change. more risky than talking on the internet and more productive in many ways, sure, but not always as effective as we need.

i may actually be getting a little better at rocket league? i still suck at blocking and goalie, i think my depth perception may be off, but i'm getting a little better at offense and aerials

i finally managed to get and open a golden egg and it gave me an okay looking decal for a car i don't own so that was underwhelming

next i'm probably gonna snap up both pairs of special wheels, then pour whatever else i can into getting more eggs

but that's for later. done for now

as it stands i like the concept behind coops but they strike me as privileged. i certainly can't afford the buy-in for a coop and it's still taking up resources that should be shared by the community to benefit a select few. it's like "the rich get richer" except the middle-class and a few lower-class folks are in on it

maybe i don't fully understand coops but they seem harmful to a community at large?
