@VyrCossont I'd been trying to find a different paper, which originally alerted me to the whole P->DHP->allopregnolone chain and its GABA-A modulation, but this goes into much more detail about the mental effects vs merely chemical!
Good grief! It wasn't my imagination. I knew after commencing progesterone that my nighttime anxieties - those lovely last minute worries as you try getting to sleep - were all but vanquished.
"endogenous estrogen and progesterone levels also may affect different cognitive processes such as decision-making, emotion recognition, consolidation of emotional memory, and fear extinction"
@fountainofwonder It's possible that may have to be the way ahead, indeed. Sometimes, spouses /do/ come around after some weeks, but sometimes, there's no viable path remaining together - r/asktransgender has quite a few similar tales.
The common factor in every story, though, is that the need to transition never goes away. It can be repressed, but that's as far as it goes.
@zigg@moiety It's helpful. The HD25s work very nicely without, fine for use on the bus and train - the Studio3s are just better still, to the point I'll often wear them on the bus even if I'm not listening to anything. ^_^ Would like to try some others as well, for comparison - the Sony equivalent always stacks up well.
If Sennheiser came out with a wireless HD25-1 II.. that'd be really nice; but I'm definitely not going back to wired.
Nothing to worry about. *cough* Just official notice that armed forces reservists will be subject to being called into active service on Feb 10 2019 in support of a no-deal Brexit.
@cinnamonvector Could be amazing. 2018 saw a big shift for me, and I’m looking forward to building on that. ^_^ All the moreso if I wind up in Montréal or Mutton Vieux.
