@er1n I have at least seven questions.

Andrew (R.S Admin) (ajroach42@retro.social)'s status on Thursday, 19-Dec-2019 00:12:15 EST Andrew (R.S Admin) Looks like you can download torrents over i2p?
That's neat, since tor specifically asks you not to use tor for torrenting.
Maybe I have a project on the horizon after all.

Andrew (R.S Admin) (ajroach42@retro.social)'s status on Wednesday, 18-Dec-2019 22:16:22 EST Andrew (R.S Admin) Hi! Anyone know of a good searchable database of movie copyright renewals?
I'm trying to figure out if a handful of film serials are safe for me to distribute.
Thanks!

Andrew (R.S Admin) (ajroach42@retro.social)'s status on Monday, 16-Dec-2019 22:12:45 EST Andrew (R.S Admin) The 29 print has a complicated history that I don't want to get in to right now. It has scenes that aren't in the 25 print, and has other scenes missing or in a different order.
Most importantly, though, the 29 print features the original color sequences.
The use of color in the Phantom is probably it's biggest strength.
Each has it's place, but as a movie to enjoy, the 29 print is the one to watch.

Andrew (R.S Admin) (ajroach42@retro.social)'s status on Monday, 16-Dec-2019 22:09:30 EST Andrew (R.S Admin) So, for now:
29 print of The Phantom of the Opera: https://peertube.mastodon.host/videos/watch/8b1ada89-b0e1-4bd3-9c2d-3695193f65b2 (this is the one to watch. It has a score and is in color occasionally.)
A rough version of the 25 print: https://peertube.mastodon.host/videos/watch/32391a28-1ee9-4a90-aabe-4c74107baf30 but without any sound and in black and white.

Andrew (R.S Admin) (ajroach42@retro.social)'s status on Monday, 16-Dec-2019 21:58:45 EST Andrew (R.S Admin) Wrote half of a blog post about the phantom of the opera, and then accidentally saved a blank file over the top of it instead of saving a copy under a different file name, so I guess I'm not posting a blogpost tonight.

It's transcoding, but I think the 720p version is watchable now, and it looks Good. I'm doing a blogpost on the differences, etc.

Andrew (R.S Admin) (ajroach42@retro.social)'s status on Saturday, 14-Dec-2019 23:37:13 EST Andrew (R.S Admin) This was fun to put together, and it covers every (public domain) movie I watched on the big screen at home this year.
It doesn't include the stuff I watched on my palm pilot, the movies we watched while we were in GA, or the stuff that I just streamed, which amounts to another 30-40 flicks or so.
I'll probably write those up tomorrow, and follow that up with a TV writeup one day next week.

Which is a different scifi flick from a different Italian director.

Cosmos War of the Planets: https://archive.org/details/Cosmos_War_of_the_Planets
War of the Robots: https://archive.org/details/WarOfTheRobots
The other one is called War of the stars, but I'm having a hard time tracking that one down. Give me a second.
