The premise of Be Kind Rewind is also the premise of a sketch Nick did on The Amanda Show (or maybe All That, but with Amanda Bynes as the star of the sketch.)

The employees of a video store have to re-create every movie that they had.

In Be Kind rewind this is set off by Jack Black trying to break in to a power plant, getting magnetized, and erasing every VHS tape in the shop, but that part of the set dressing is really just an excuse.

@emsenn I feel better when I'm doing stuff. That was part of what made yesterday so hard for me, because I couldn't Do Anything. It was so loud I couldn't hear the person next to me, so I couldn't talk to them. The room was full of people I didn't know, which is normally not a problem. I don't mind meeting new people.

But it was like 250 people, 75% of whom were ultra religious catholics, none of them were loud enough for me to hear them, and all of them were pressuring me to drink or dance.

I did dishes instead of setting up my video toaster, and now I'm watching the Warren Beatty Dick Tracy film from the 90s.

I think I might talk about Be Kind Rewind for a minute in a minute. I dunno, I'm having a hard time doing much of anything right now.

The premise of this show could not be any more ridiculous, but it's a fun film.

I'm watching Be Kind Rewind and thinking about diy media.

Gonna reheat some pizza and set up my toaster.

Does the later model also have composite and s-video? That's the big thing that free me to this.

If the hub works, that's good enough though.

Check out my new computer monitor! It has s-video input, so now I have to make an s-video cable.

It's gorgeous though. I can't wait to have some time to make full use of it.

I'm off the 15th - the 22nd. I do have a half hour call on the 15th that I need to take.

I also got a handful of lav mics and a portable digital recorder, so I can make sure everything sounds okay.

I'm going to start by working on videos of my old tech crap, but I have a few folks working on some really cool shit and I'm excited.

256s appear to be fully supported and are less than $30 each.

The camcorder has two slots, so I can get 500 GB of storage in to it.

That means I can reasonably record at the highest fidelity settings the thing offers.

And I have two reasonably powerful computers I can use for editing. And I'll get better at editing with practice.

I feel the loneliness too. It was just a difficult time to be alive.

@djsumdog It's a Cannon HF G20 HD camcorder that I got from a friend.

It's for #fakedTV and associated projects.

I got my really fancy camera. It's charging now. I need to get two SD cards for it (probably in the 128GB range, maybe larger, depends on what Microcenter has in store.)

It's honestly way fancier than I need, but IT HAS A FOCUS RING, so I'm pretty pleased with it.

Expect lots of Overly Dramatic action shots of Computers and Stuff.
