I still don't understand FETs. I can use NMOS and PMOS in the basic switching configuration, I know the basics but things like JFET or depletion/enhancement mode, induced channel etc confuse me. Is there some good text to read & get it? I have Art of Electronics but tbh I read it and didn't really get much out if it

@inmysocks I have several examples of how NOT to make a settings GUI. But- I think the best thing to make it not suck is a search function

One not so nice thing about analog circuits is they're analog all the way. With the nonlinearities and imperfections. Normally you don't notice but you do when you're working with microsecond timings

Spent the afternoon at work building analog circuits with 555 and it was fun and interesting

@anymouse_404 yes, some books are ridiculously expensive. My most expensive textbook I think is around $100 but there are much worse

@zatnosk well the advantage I see is you can easily incorporate that into the game and let people make any combination of the parameters. Of course the most inclusive is a text field, but that's just useless

Is MUD a videogame if you can play it with a printer-keyboard terminal?
