"I'm not a harasser, it must be one of the women we commonly harass that is doing it" isn't a good look for anyone. Particularly not an instance admin.
This weeks 360 robots eye video is crossing Pont de l'Alma here in Paris. It gives a nice view of the Eiffel tower and the late afternoon sun on the Seine. We are back to our study of the bridges of Paris. You can also see the Cathédrale de la Sainte-Trinité (Holy Trinity Cathedral) in all of it's gold domed shininess. Enjoy!
@Elizafox because back in the before time there was some worry about your system being fucked though the modem due to a power surge in the phone line. Thus UPSs were made to have surge protectors on the modem lines as well.
I’m thinking about offering a flat-rate code of conduct consultation again. I’d spend about an hour to read your policies and create a report with my recommendations, and a 30 min call to discuss. Any open source projects or user groups who might be interested?
I'm going to write a lot more about this in the coming days but the most important takeaway from my first few days of switching my main development machine to Linux (Pop!_OS 18.04)?
I. Do. Not. Miss. The. Mac. One. Bit.
Everything Just Works (tm), including my USB-C-only LG external monitor (which doesn't even work with Laura's older MacBook Pro), Magic Trackpad, etc. And there are things I actually enjoy more about the experience. Never thought I'd be writing this about Linux. Exciting times!
@eleanor also it is pretty obvious that in the original post 'build-in' refers to built into the recommended followers system, which is the subject of the original message. So I am not sure what part of the original claim I am misstating.
@eleanor I never said anything about the built in or not part, I said that considering 'part of the mastodon project' and 'belonging to me' being the same for him would be a problem.
@Gargron@bob never said it was you, @eleanor was the one who said the comment was directed at you when it was a general 'this would be a bad thing to happen' post. At most @bob has talked about the mastodon project. If you consider that to be just yourself than that would be another problem.
@bob I have been using one of the other firefly boards (the 3399) for development and it has worked well but they don't have good display drivers for it in linux. As an android device it works fine but on linux if you want to play video or do much that requires good response from the display it gets slow.
Once that gets fixed I think it would be an almost perfect base for a libre laptop.
