    @ksclarke
Pretty well. I think I might be trying to do the impossible finding the perfect desktop for people that haven't worked with computers before. The only thing that I really don't like about budgie is that it's using plank.I feel like plank might be a little difficult to see what's going on for people that haven't worked with computers before.

@ksclarke So Kwin has been a little crash-prone for me on lately. As a result, I've been exploring the #Budgie flavor of #Ubuntu. It seems like it is a nice compromise between the smaller footprint of Plasma and the GTK based Gnome. Also, it is quite beautifully designed. Ever look at it?

Just got the book "Better work together" in the mail today for my #library. Super excited about it! Looks like a great book on how to do #business and #community differently.

@dsalo Ok. That's what I was wondering. Ok. I wanna be able to do lossless.

I haven't seen any of them that do that. Probably not listed on amazon :)

Thanks. I just got a v800 through a grant. Was looking at movie digitizers.

@dsalo Good to know. Was just looking at something like this but didn't know if it was any good at all. Are people generally capturing to mp4 with film?

@tbeckett Oh man I loved this book!
So lyrical and full of wisdom. Some chapters I just had to cry my way through.

@tbeckett Funny you mention that. Part of this question was spurred by "Braiding Sweetgrass" by Robin Wall Kimmerer. I need to see if our land would have a good spot for it. Thanks!

@foureyedsoul I do like it so far. Very easy to set up a custom domain. Everythind seems to work well. Android app seems solid.

@Holly Maybe sesame street? But even that has been assimilated (HBO).

It's the shows that want to sell our kids stuff (or our kids as stuff) that need them to believe that everything is shit, that they're not part of a community, that the world is a hostile place, that competition is the norm and cooperation the exception, etc...

I've created a custom domain name for my proton mail account with the intent to switch away from gmail. But _damn it_, it almost feels like some kind of sin to see junk mail showing up there already from sites i'm logging into.

Maybe I need to try to limit this on to human only and find a different account for the robots to communicate with me at?!?

@michelle sounds cool I'll have to check it out.

To find users on digipres, you might take a look at @joshuatj like of followers. I _think_ he has the site setup so that member auto-follow his admin. Scroll down his list of followers and if there isn't an "@" in their address then they're local to digipres

What's the best way to find and interact with other #librarians on Mastodon? The hashtags I've used and loved on Twitter don't seem to have users here...lovin' Mastodon, but still learn' the culture and best practices 🙂

Oh, I know and love the Trunk (though I should revisit it again, it's been awhile...)

    Thanks in advance!!!

#PawPatrol is a dystopian warning about a town who was unwilling to pay taxes for local services and thus is forced to rely upon a prepubescent boy and a pack of dogs for all emergency services.

Finding out your receipt printers have a #Linux driver available so staff workstations can eventually be switched to #Ubuntu?
