Going live on #Koha on Monday? Priceless.
Finding out your receipt printers have a #Linux driver available so staff workstations can eventually be switched to #Ubuntu?

Can you (easily) publish a #hovercraft presentation to a website? Anyone provide me with a #howto link?
If kids grew up with Ghibli movies instead of Disney movies they'd have a totally different idea of what a princess is supposed to be and do
If you have followed the advice of @switchingsocial and are trying @GIMP after previously using Photoshop, you might find the different paradigms confusing.
If you get stuck how to do something, use the GIMP tag on graphicdesign.stackexchange.com to find an answer quickly:

The docs also have some useful tutorials for common tasks:
#KdeConnect is reaching indispensable status for me. So much so that I'm tempted to add a staff-side AP to our network so I can use it on my computer at work.

Job ads that can't be bothered to list a salary range make deciding if I want to work at a place very simple.
I would love to see this scene recreated but making the allusions real. Imaging a blind druid meeting with a forest tree god. Roots rise up out of the ground to support the druid-hero. Then as the data/spirit carrying root rises up out of the ground the mycelia sprout from it to meld with the hero's nervous system. Kind of like if #Tolkien wrote the #Matrix
Creating ILS notice slip templates is some soul sucking business.
This I say for true.
@UberGeek Cool. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
@UnclearFuture I'm using the liquid. Thicker, liquid, soap would work. Just went with Bronner's cause that's what I had on hand plus didn't want to defeat the purpose by using a soap that had nasty chemicals in it.
@NylaWoethief Thank you. It's an experiment. I hope it goes well and the community finds it useful. I do think that this direction could lead to great digital inclusion. I got to thinking about this years ago (mid 2000's) when there was a project called the "OpenCD" . You could download the CD and it had all kinds of installers for free/open software. Patron would come in to use our computers who had computers at home but couldn't afford the software. On getting the CD their eyes lit up. :)
@NylaWoethief public
@Holly Maybe so.
@UberGeek Maybe my phrasing wasn't as accurate as I wanted it to be:
"need to stop the use of corporate social media cold."
I'm not interested in stopping people from accessing information. Absolutely not. What I wished I had said was "Libraries need to stop _using_ corporate social media."
I can see that what I actually wrote (too quickly and without proofreading) comes of really wrong.
1 cup baking soda
1/4 citric acid
1 tbls dr. Bronner's soap
Mix it all up in a bowl. Pack tablespoons with the mixture. (You might want to wear a latex gloves for this part.) Gently remove them onto a cookie tray or someplace safe and let them dry overnight. Store them in an airtight jar.
Just toss one in the toilet when you're ready to use it and let it sit for an hour, then scrub if needed
Going to test out some environmentally friendly toilet bombs for cleaning the toilets at the library tomorrow! Hopefully I can get staff on board and we can stop destroying the world a little bit at a time. ๐๐
In my dream world, nautilus and gvfs would merge into the kde project, thus making it nearly perfect. #gnome #kde #becoming_one_with_the_universe
Perfect example, "papa don't preach." Cyndi or Madonna how can we ever really know for sure?
