UK Parliament: If we pathetically wallow in indecision long enough, the EU will rescue us by agreeing to, uh, "something."

EU: First of all no, and second, you have to tell us what something is that you want us to agree, before you can demand we agree to it.

UK: Hold my beer while the Cabinet completely undermines and dis-empowers the PM and her own minority government, that should help.

EU: Face-palm... this could be going very much better...

@tootbrute There was a request for Debian to package #Mycroft, but no one replied. Maybe installing the Ubuntu snap would work.

I'm very curious about Mycroft, but have higher priorities at this time. Good luck.

"On 30th March, Extinction Rebellion is calling for hundreds of brave people, regardless of age or background, to do their duty: for our children, for our communities and for this great nation. Together we will peacefully and non-violently block the motorway out of Dover."

Aaaaand XR's rhetoric is really starting to slide into ecofascism. On Brexit day, when the working class will be at its most vulnerable, they plan to block any and all movement through Dover. Nothing is being done to establish solutions, nothing is being done to help people actually vulnerable to food and medicine scarcity right now.

Unless I can find more, I literally only have meds up until brexit day. I'm not interested in whatever weirdly nationalistic point XR is trying to make about resource scarcity in the future, I'm concerned about the resource scarcity I'm already seeing first hand.

Extinction Rebellion is making it really fucking hard to be their ally

‘Living backwards!’ Alice repeated in great astonishment. ‘I never heard of such a thing!’

‘—but there’s one great advantage in it, that one’s memory works both ways.’

‘I’m sure mine only works one way,’ Alice remarked. ‘I can’t remember things before they happen.’

‘It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backwards,’ the Queen remarked.

"Few citizens realize that our tradition of jokes about the foolishness of the middle child derives from a centuries-old humorous dialogue between Beszel's head rabbi and its chief imam about the intemperance of the Beszel Orthodox Church. It had, they agreed, neither the wisdom of the oldest Abrahamic faith, nor the vigor of its youngest."

The City and the City is both opaque and uncomfortably noir so far, but at least it acknowledges the Jews of Eastern Europe.
