@nimirea More broadly, since the purpose of language is communication, linguistic variation is interesting, but we don't have to be neutral about variants.
Communication would be facilitated if "Bayesian" were pronounced uniformly, so indicating one pronunciation as preferred would be beneficial, regardless of the reason that variant is chosen.

A problem that the article doesn't even mention is how the building would stay together. Even if you could pick it up at a single point, the rest of it would fall apart. Buildings are designed to be supported by distributed foundations.

@lpmanchettes Le gouvernement du Québec pourrait facilement établir la déclaration de revenus unique par l'abolition de son système de taxe parallèle. Nous devrions baser notre système sur celui du fédéral comme toute autre province -- il n'y a pas une valeur ajoutée avec le RL-1 et les autres formulaires spéciaux. Et les économies seraient plus grands pour le Québec.

When I see things like people being pressured into captioning images (I'm not entirely sure how to caption half my images, many don't make sense with a caption) or pressured into CW's over the silliest things, it just makes me realise a few things
1) how incredibly pushy people can be, even if they have good intentions
2) how ineffective Masto's tools are for dealing with content we don't want to see
3) how people want to impose their ideas of how the world should work onto others
