@lauraritchie Yes, I think this is quite right, and is probably one of the most important factors in being able to get along with people in life.

Though I would think of it more as a jazz ensemble, with nobody in charge and with each person improvising, rather than an orchestra.

There's also something called StageIt https://www.stageit.com/site/landing that is used by a lot of musicians. Haven't actually watched a show there though.

- it is displayed somewhere is mf2 HTML - where?
If everything is being done on a single web server, then fine. Easy.

But what if a person doesn't want to create and manage their own website? They want a service (maybe a desktop or mobile app) where they enter their data, and the app uses the cloud to store the data and publish it to Blogger, WordPress, whatever. That's hard.

@jgmac1106 It's easy enough to use/adapt content into a CMS to create some HTML. But the logistics of a practical IndyWeb cv generator (never mind a course) are more difficult.

@jgmac1106 We would need the help of a good Node developer for this, otherwise it would consume a lot of time. It's worth looking at, though.

@jgmac1106 What's needed is a simple tool that does all the markup for you then publishes it as a page wherever you want - github, wordpress, blogger, whatever. Maybe cross-platfirm, made from Node.js plus Electron. If I were slightly better at codinf, I'd make one...
