A lesson from the day: confidence, when viewed by the insecure or traumatized, is often interpreted as arrogance.
Be confident anyway.
y'know those "Chinese" tattoos that people get which are nonsense?
Damn it; tsunami at Central Sulawesi, Indonesia.

is inkscape capable of making minimal vectors? I'd like to export an XML file that only contains definitions of points and lines connecting them. I plan to use it to define level collision, so I'm not worried about defining much style information
Eugh why couldn’t Skyrim have good characters like Oblivion did
« A Taiwanese “white hat” hacker claims he’ll broadcast himself hacking Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook page on Sunday, Sept. 30th 2018, reports Bloomberg. Writing in a Facebook post to his 26,000 followers, Chang Chi-yuan promised to delete the Facebook founder’s account, and broadcast himself doing so on Facebook Live. @Fragmentimes I have a "F*ck CloudFlare" sticker on current laptop, and my previous one. I am hugely annoyed with how they're centralizing the Web.
However, this onion service they announced seems a decent thing to do -- they put extra effort into finding a way to *not* block Tor users.
I can appreciate that. Credit where credit's due.
Wait, what. #CloudFlare introduces its own onion service and it doesn't look terribly bad:

Also of note, HTTP Alternative Services now supported by the Tor Browser:

“sucky things” is not the same as “sexual assault mention” or “violent language” or “police brutality” etc

I kinda know why I'm still awake & active right now. And I also have a sense of why it's not a total waste of time or energy.
...But I also have a sense that I could be using my energy & resources... better. Not just more efficiently. Not just more effectively.
Better.
What do you wind up as when every statement you produce is a pure stream of unmodified boosts?
(A pure stream of unmodified boost is humanly impossible though, I think...)
I got strong @HTHR vibes from this image
@aRandomCat contrarian take: pick a company with a nice building and a pleasant commute from your current residence. preferably with a park nearby! ask yourself if your potential co-workers look healthy, if your boss looks like they have a life outside of work.
Internet culture as such a weird combination of "everything is flawlessly recorded forever" and "you just had to be there". Everything is simultaneously permanent and ephemeral. We're drowning in records that have no context, and context that has no records
There are *so* many people doing reviews of SKMEI watches on YouTube, but why are hardly anyone doing any review for Q&Q watches?
Both brands are aimed at the ultra-low end, but one is barely 10 years old while the other is over 40 (and is a sub-brand of Citizen); one is Chinese while the other is Japanese...
@fribbledom So, do you know? Did I name the trick right or wrong..?
