@em @Louisa Clearly, "Shoop" by Salt-n-Pepa was the best song of 1994. Runner-up: Linger by the Cranberries.

@Louisa I'm not sure if it counts, now...it charted on re-release in 1973, but I just found it was originally released as a single in 1969 🤔 And Rebel Rebel came out a bit too late, in early 1974...

@FiXato @KelsonV They could have gone with Quindim, Qottab, orQuesito if they wanted a non-English Q dessert.

@Nezchan @KelsonV We frequently make quince pie. But Queen of Puddings would have been another good choice.

@Louisa My birth year was mostly pretty dire in terms of music; pretty much everything was horrible boomer crap. The one popular song from that year I can say I actually like would be "Space Oddity", by David Bowie.
Runners up, which I can tolerate: "The World Is a Ghetto" by War, "Jambalaya (On the Bayou)" by the Blue Ridge Rangers, and "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye.

I would absolutely wear a TNG skant uniform for an appropriate setting, like a convention.

A few weeks ago, Google announced a revolution in web development: serving HTML directly to browsers.
Today’s AMP Innovation is the ability to run custom JavaScript on your AMP pages. That’s right: for the first time, web developers can write JavaScript.

@emsenn Yeah, the state's Department of Natural Resources (or whatever it's called in NC) will probably have to be consulted.

Just a reminder that #brutaldon development has moved to https://git.carcosa.net/jmcbray/brutaldon, and that I'm porting issues over from github. There are a number of small fixes and features that would be perfect for new developers, and I'm happy to take pull requests and give encouraging constructive feedback. Pull requets on the above site or by email are great!

Those of you whomst have already switched a repository away from github to self-hosting, how did you handle the github repository? Did you archive it read-only? Where did you list the URL of the new repository?

@djsundog I find this pretty interesting; I'm really motivated to find an alternate input method for mobile. I'm currently working on my MessagEase speed[1]. My best is 40WPM, but I've only hit that on a sample text that I've practiced a lot.
