    @craigmaloney just saw your post on the hiatus.

    I don't know if it would help, but I know you like other types of music. Maybe doing something else would help.

    Now that we let Marvin go, I am not sure what I am going to do with myself. I had planned on spending most of July on the bike, but then I found myself in the ER on July 3, so I am going to shoot for 500 miles instead of 1000 miles.

    I'm sure Strava will have new Challenges for August, but obviously if I could get back into !ccmsc that would help blocSonic. We are learning a lot about the music industry.

    I haven't heard anything new about the band I emailed you about. That does not necessarily mean much.

    I had hoped to get Monk Turner on a bike interview when he was in town. I think bike interviews around town would be good, but you really need to be locked in to know when people are coming to MSP and I am not locked in. :(

    My friend Brent cycles a lot and knows the local scene. Maybe I can interview local musicians CC or not. Scheduling stuff is so hard.

    Perhaps this was the beginning of the end for the CC Music Community: https://fwonk.bandcamp.com/album/fw2006-2008-2017

    Then Music Manumit dies in July 2018. Then FMA essentially dies in December 2018.

    I know plenty of people are still putting out #ccmusic, so maybe "dead" is hyperbolic.

    It's actively dying though. CCMA was an attempt to make the illness not terminal, but it may have made things worse. It certainly led directly to the dying of Music Manumit.

    Moving forward...

    ccMixter is being put under a lot of pressure by the really shitty Creative Commons organization. They did the same thing to #CCMA.

    If ccMixter is to not meet the same fate as FMA, people need to support them now, before it is too late.
