I've been thinking about an #ActivityPub implementation for #Wordpress. My idea supports:

- publishing blog posts and comments to ActivityPub-compliant servers, letting users follow/reply to/share/like these via other compliant services
- @-mentioning other ActivtyPub actors (e.g. Mastodon users) in posts and comments
- commenting on posts from Mastodon or other ActivityPub services

one thing I notice since I joined #mastodon is that I keep wishing for #activitypub version of everything.

Activity pub portfolios (soon hopefully with pixelfed)
activitypub video (peertube) and streams
activitypub blogs.

just remove the social media platform middleman and just have content propagate. I guess this is what rss was supposed to be (but with reblogs 🐧)

The other day I was pondering about rebuilding my brother's websites on top of #ActivityPub, and also moving my blog over to the result too. Now, there's a catch: content may be much longer than 500 chars, which shouldn't be a problem for ActivityPub, but people following the thing might meet with big walls of text.

Not quite sure what to do about that yet.

Hey fellow #developers, looking to create an #activitypub platform? Here's some ideas I've seen tossed around:

* podcast
* dating
* alternative to evernote
* alternative to asana

Are there now any functional #alternatives to #reddit already, that have implemented #activitypub successfully? I remember seeing #tildes and @prismo and @tuxether or some other services in the #fediverse some time ago, but they seemed not to be ready and useable yet

I'm thinking about building an #ActivityPub plugin for #Wordpress. Does anyone know if something like that already exists? Is anyone else interested in that?

Does your #golang #activitypub application use go-fed? Want free and cheap marketing? Want to put an end to the universal increase of entropy*?
