This might just get me back to Firefox:

"Mozilla has always been a proponent of #decentralization, recognizing that it is a key ingredient of a healthy Internet. Starting with Firefox 59, several protocols that support decentralized architectures are available for use by extensions. The newly approved protocols are:

    Dat Project (dat://)
    IPFS (dweb:// ipfs:// ipns://)
    Secure Scuttlebutt (ssb://)"

@1iceloops123 For obvious reasons, I do not keep up on the happenings on #DailyStormer. What happened between them and #Tor? Have they investigated using eepsites ( #I2P ) and #Dat?

    Slightly off:
    I'm curious about #Beaker
why are they building a new browser instead of extending an existing one?
Their browser is, quite honestly, absolutely horrible.
It also doesn't support any of the addons I rely on.
Couldn't they have added #dat support to #Firefox with WebExtensions? Or just fork Firefox like #TorBrowser did?

I'm on board with #IPFS and #DAT, but doesn't ZeroNet require BItcoin?

Hi there! I'm Maslow, I work in software/electrical engineering on satellites and am a bisexual lady.

    I'm really interested in #dat, #ipfs, #ssb, #meshnetworks, #socialjustice, and #privacy.

I love my big, floofy dog, and currently live in Washington, DC.

Okay, I'm done clogging your timelines with my nerdshit.

Let me know what you think! Am I overlooking something? Is there a reason this won't work?

Aside from dat's current implementation being written in Node.js, and the lack of ios/android clients, this all looks like a pretty good idea to me.

    Hey Friends,

I am sooooo happy 😺 today I managed to craft a little add-on for Firefox using the Native Messaging API and talk to #Scuttlebot bundled as a native app. This means that I can now add support for #scuttlebutt decentralized network to Firefox by creating WebExtensions similar to patchlite and git-ssb.

Using this approach, I can also add support for #dat and have Firefox be able to interact with dat resources. This might be soooo cool

Wut? I thought #DigitalAudioTape was a failed technology from the 1990s, and haven't seen references to #SingleSideBand since the #CBRadio days. Or perhaps we ran out of #TLAs in 2010, and we're just recycling the unused ones. @lnxw48a1 @clacke #Dat #SSB

I've been reading more about #Dat ( https://docs.datproject.org/ ) ... I see a hard dependency on #Node.JS, which has lessened my interest quite a bit.
