Increasingly, reading through my D* stream has become un-witting doomscrolling. More and more people whose content I used uo enjoy have become relentless, high-volume, single-issue link/tweet spammers. I find myself forced to block them to keep them from dominating my feed with their pet issues. Is it just me?
#doom, #power, and #progressive all in there, but no metal since the week of June 14. Some sort of #metal is likely to make it back on the charts after this week though. We shall see!
Of course, if we looked at track length, metal would undoubtedly be higher on the list.
Plus, I don't scrobble all the Open Metalcast I listen to while on my bike rides. I found the pausing and skipping around shows to cause things to be scrobbled multiple times, but my rides are longer now. Maybe I could give scrobbling those a shot again...not that that would tell me much about what I was listening to on the shows, but it would increase the metal tag.
So, where have I been all day? Aside from chores and errands, I've been playing #DOOM (both old and new) the entire evening. My eldest son and I have been alternating gameplay.
This implies that it is possible to code the original #Doom in a single webpage (probably as a #Javascrippled page of the usual inefficient and unaccessible kind)
Let's play a game, to help some of the newcomers make connections: name subjects and topics that interest you but aren't in your profile, as tags so they are searchable. Then boost this post or repeat its instructions so others know to do the same.
@craigmaloney You've played them before, but if you haven't checked out the January release, it's worth a listen: https://nolens.bandcamp.com/ -- as you're probably aware, I'm not super into #grindcore, but this has enough #doom / #sludge to keep things interesting. !metal
